User Added Content Rules

These User Added Content Rules apply to models, files, images, descriptions, comments, profiles, metadata, and other content submitted to Unlayered Universe. They supplement the Unlayered 3D Terms of Use and Unlayered Universe Terms of Service.

Unlayered 3D may remove or restrict content or accounts at its discretion, with or without notice, and is not required to provide a reason. These Rules are not exhaustive; content may be removed even if it is not specifically listed below.

1. You Must Have the Rights to Upload It

Do not upload content unless you own it or have permission sufficient to:

• publish and distribute it through Universe;
• offer it under the public license selected for the listing; and
• grant Unlayered 3D the separate rights described in the Universe Terms, including commercial AI/CAD, software, manufacturing, hardware, dataset, testing, and marketing uses.

If you did not create the content yourself, source credit alone is not sufficient. The underlying license or permission must authorize the rights you grant.

Do not upload material that infringes or misappropriates copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, confidentiality, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

2. No Functional Weapons, Firearms, Explosives, or Weapon Modification

Do not upload content whose purpose, primary function, or reasonably foreseeable use is to create, assemble, repair, convert, modify, conceal, operate, improve, or increase the functionality or lethality of a weapon.

Prohibited content includes, without limitation:

• complete firearms or guns;
• firearm receivers, frames, barrels, slides, bolts, fire-control components, or other functional/critical firearm parts;
• ammunition, ammunition components, reloading components, or devices intended to manufacture ammunition;
• suppressors/silencers or functional suppressor components;
• conversion devices or modifications intended to alter a firearm’s firing capability or operation;
• accessories or modifications intended to materially increase weapon functionality or lethality;
• functional weapons designed to injure or incapacitate people;
• explosives, explosive devices, detonators, destructive devices, or components/instructions intended to make them; and
• files or instructions for converting otherwise non-weapon objects into functional weapons.

Clearly nonfunctional decorative props may be permitted only at Unlayered 3D’s discretion and may be removed if they could reasonably be converted into a functional weapon or are otherwise unsuitable for the Service.

3. No NSFW or Sexually Explicit Content

Do not upload NSFW content, including pornography, sexually explicit or erotic material, sexualized nudity, fetish content, graphic sexual content, sexual devices or objects whose primary purpose is sexual activity, or other content that Unlayered 3D determines is unsuitable for a general-audience repository.

Any sexual content involving or depicting minors is strictly prohibited and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

4. No Content for Illegal Drug Use

Do not upload content designed primarily to manufacture, cultivate, prepare, process, conceal, distribute, administer, consume, or facilitate the use of illegal drugs or unlawfully possessed controlled substances.

This includes drug paraphernalia, concealment devices specifically designed for illegal drugs, and equipment or instructions whose primary purpose is unlawful drug production or consumption.

5. No Illegal, Dangerous, or Restricted Content

Do not upload content that:

• is illegal to possess, manufacture, distribute, or publish in the applicable context;
• instructs or materially facilitates serious criminal activity;
• contains classified information, export-controlled technical data, or other restricted government or defense information that you are not authorized to disclose;
• contains another person’s confidential, proprietary, or trade-secret information without authorization;
• contains personal information that you are not authorized to publish;
• promotes or facilitates terrorism, child exploitation, or trafficking; or
• is otherwise prohibited by law or by a binding obligation applicable to you.

6. No Malicious or Unsafe Print Files

Do not upload G-code, toolpaths, profiles, firmware, scripts, or other files intentionally designed or reasonably likely to:

• disable or bypass printer safety protections;
• cause unintended or dangerous motion;
• command unsafe temperatures or power states;
• cause collisions, fires, electrical hazards, or hardware damage;
• execute malware or unauthorized code;
• exfiltrate data or compromise another user’s system; or
• misrepresent compatibility in a way that creates a material safety risk.

Do not intentionally label a file with the wrong printer, process, material, license, or other compatibility information.

7. No Harassment, Hate, or Abusive Content

Do not post content or comments that threaten, harass, stalk, dox, or abuse another person; promote hatred or violence against protected groups; encourage self-harm or serious violence; or otherwise create a hostile or unsafe community environment.

8. No Spam, Manipulation, or Deceptive Promotion

Do not use Universe for spam, scams, phishing, fake engagement, vote manipulation, deceptive source claims, misleading authorship claims, mass advertising, unauthorized affiliate promotion, or repeated irrelevant promotional content.

9. Do Not Impersonate Others

Do not impersonate another person, designer, company, university, government entity, or organization, or falsely claim that content is endorsed, certified, approved, or created by someone else.

10. AI-Created Content Disclosure

If the upload flow asks whether AI was used in creating the content, answer accurately. Unlayered 3D may label, categorize, restrict, or remove AI-generated or AI-assisted content under current or future repository policies.

11. Moderation and Enforcement

Unlayered 3D may use automated systems and human review to enforce these Rules. We may remove or restrict content, prevent re-upload, limit posting privileges, suspend or terminate accounts, reduce visibility, or take other action at our discretion.

We may preserve or disclose content where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, comply with law or legal process, protect users or the public, or enforce our rights.

If you believe content violates these Rules, applicable law, or your rights, use any available report function or contact info@unlayered3d.com.
